Color and Light is investigated through application in various medias. The setting up of palettes, mixing mechanics and sustained painting working from reference images. Subject matter includes both objective and nonobjective painting. Through carefully structured sequences in layering artists are introduced to basic two dimensional concepts.
The goal of COLOR & LIGHT in OIL, ACRYLIC and MIXED MEDIA is for each artist/student to explore the nature and properties of COLOR and LIGHT in relation to the layering of PAINT and GLAZES. Students are challenged to explore line, shape, form, color and scale as elements of a powerful and unlimited visual language.

ART FOR SELF-DISCOVERY We have discovered that the delight of creative development through painting strengthens self-confidence, sharpens awareness and significantly improves problem solving abilities.
Did you know.....that when you are painting, you are in perfect alignment with your true self, and while you're in alignment, it only takes 68 seconds of thought to manifest a desire? What this means is any dreams you are hoping for outside of class will manifest into your reality.
Just think about what you can accomplish while you're painting during the 2-3 hours you invest in yourself with us.
